#1.) Yard Waste Curbside Pickup Company: Republic Services

RULES FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP OF YARD WASTE

  • DON'T overload your container - there is a 40 pound limit per container - the drivers have to manually throw and dump your barrels into the truck all day long. 
  • Yard waste on curb by 7:00 AM – earliest is 3:00 pm the day before the collection.
  • Yard waste must be in brown paper bags or loose in barrels - NO PLASTIC BAGS.
  • Loose brush/ branches must be bundled or tied and cannot exceed 4' across and 4’ in length.
  • Tightly packed barrels or bags weighing more than forty (40) pounds will not be collected.
  • No yard waste in regular town issued trash or recycling carts.
  • Yard waste not picked up on scheduled day will be picked up during the following week. 

 

#2.) Yard Waste Drop Off is Available Year Round:

K&W Materials and Recycling - 138 Palmer Avenue West Springfield, MA 01089 - Monday-Friday 8:00AM-3:30PM and Saturday 8:00AM-11:30AM

Closed on:

  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday of November)
  • Christmas Day
  • Memorial Day (Monday Holiday)
  • Independence Day - July 4th
  • Labor Day (Monday Holiday) 
  • New Years Day

RULES FOR DROP OFF OF YARD WASTE

  • NO contractor drop off 
  • Must show valid ID with address in West Springfield
  • Yard waste must be in brown paper bags or loose in barrels - NO PLASTIC BAGS.
  • Loose brush/ branches must be bundled or tied and cannot exceed 4' across and 4’ in length.
