Bear Hole Community Forest Tour

  • Date: 02/15/2020 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM  

Come join us for a gentle walk through the Bear Hole Watershed Community Forest and learn about your trees and their habitat values! We will walk about 1.5 miles across level terrain through red and white pine groves. You will learn about the health of your community forests, its songbird habitat benefits, and West Springfield DPW's ideas about their improvements. 

Time: Saturday Morning at 10:30AM to 12:00PM

Meet-Up Site: Parking lot for Bear Hole Trail System on Bearhole Rd. West Springfield, MA 01089

We will gather at 10:00AM for a tour sign-up, a meet and greet, and some warm refreshments with your hosts Jeffrey Auer, Deputy Director of Water, West Springfield Department of Public Works, and Mary Wingmore, Watershed Forester.
