WEST SPRINGFIELD REMINDS RESIDENTS ABOUT ELECTION INFORMATION

West Springfield, MA:  The Town of West Springfield is reminding all residents that in-person voting for the 2024 federal and state elections will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  Residents who were registered to vote as of the deadline of October 26, 2024 will be eligible to participate in this election.  

On Election Day, there will be two polling locations, which will both be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m..  The first location is the West Springfield Senior Center, located at 128 Park Street, which serves the registered voters of Precincts 1 and 2 in West Springfield.  The second location, West Springfield High School, located at 425 Piper Road, will be open to serve the registered voters of Precincts 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.  Residents who are unsure of which precinct they reside in can check their polling location here: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/WhereDoIVoteMA.

The deadline (October 29) to request a ballot to vote by mail has passed. However, voters who had already requested and received a ballot to vote by mail have several options to submit their ballots. Vote by mail ballots can be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours, prepaid by mail through the USPS, or deposited in the Town Clerk’s dropbox. The dropbox is a white and blue mailbox located in the lobby of Town Hall, accessible 24/7.  Ballots that are mailed through USPS must be postmarked by November 5.  

Early voting at the West Springfield Public Library, 200 Park Street, West Springfield, concludes on Friday, November 1 at 4:30 p.m.

In addition to the Presidential Election, there are several state races on the ballot, as well as five statewide ballot questions.
