Update from Republic Services on Final Yard Waste Pick-up:

If you still have yard-waste to be picked up and your trash is normally on Thursday or Friday, yard waste will be picked up on Saturday 12/14/19. If it is not picked up on Saturday it will be picked up on Tuesday 12/17/19. If your yard waste has not been picked up by the end of the day Tuesday please call DPW at 263-3246 and provide your address and DPW will pick it up.

For the past several years The West Springfield Park & Recreation Department, in cooperation with the West Springfield Parish Association and Parish Cupboard, has raised thousands of dollars for Operation Santa to help benefit West Springfield families in need. Each year, businesses and families alike donate to our program in order to make the holiday season brighter for those around us. Those who make a monetary donation will be listed on our webpage here, as well as in the West Springfield Record each week, so that we can give special recognition to our supporters.

This year, our goal is to raise $20,000.

If you are interested in making a monetary donation, print out our donation coupon here, and mail it in along with your donations to:

If you'd like to donate toys/gifts, take a look at our Stuff-A-Cruiser events below, as well as our other donation locations!

Stuff-A-Cruiser Events: The West Springfield Police Department is supporting the Operation Santa program too! At different West Springfield locations they are meeting the public, bringing their finest cruisers, and collecting unwrapped toys/gifts from children ages 0-15. The events are as follows:

November 30th: Pintu’s Indian Palace, 25 Park Ave, West Springfield, MA- 10am-1pm
December 1st: The Crest Room, 706 Westfield St, West Springfield, MA- 10am-1pm
December 6th: Two Weeks Notice, 110 Bosworth St, West Springfield, MA- 4pm-7pm

Drop Off Locations: If you cannot make it to these events, you can always drop off unwrapped toys/gifts to The West Springfield Park & Recreation Department, West Springfield Police Department, or the West Springfield Mayor’s Office. Be on the lookout for “The Giving Tree” at places like St. Thomas, and donation locations at the West Springfield Public Library and with some helpful residents!
