Town Hall, Senior Center and the Library are open by appointment only. Please call the department you would like to make an appointment with for scheduling.

The West Springfield Police Department and Fire Department lobbies are closed to the public for non-emergencies.

Please call the business line to any department regarding Town business as will be doing our best to assist you by phone or via email.

The Town (City) Clerk is the Official Records Keeper for West Springfield, Massachusetts.

Records include: vital statistics, birth, marriage, and death certificates, and Business Certificates (DBAs), appeals and decisions of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Boards, and filings of notices of meetings and various minutes of Committees of the community, underground storage licenses and renewals. 

Most documents are Public Record.

Various licenses are issued through this department including but not limited to:  dogs, auctioneer and transient vendors, closing out sales and miscellaneous documents.

Council, Ordinances, Appropriations

The minutes of the Town Council, ordinances, and the list of appropriations and the annual town reports are also filed in this office.

Marriage Licenses

Marriage licenses are currently issued by appointment only. A marriage license is valid for 60 days from the date of filing and can be released to the couple after a three day waiting period. It is recommended that couples file approximately one month before their planned  date of marriage. Please call 263-3012 for an appointment.

Vital Records Requests

Copies of Birth, Death, and Marriage records can be ordered at the counter in the Clerk's Office or by mail. All vital records are $10 per copy. Payment by cash, check, or money order is required to place an order. Copies will be ready the following business day for pick-up or mailing.
