About West Side Celebrate 250

The West Springfield 250th Committee is committed to throwing a celebration that encompasses all our community has to offer. Donations to the West Springfield 250th Anniversary are secured to be used ONLY for 250th Celebration expenses. Funds will go to the Town of West Springfield’s 250th Celebration Donation Account. Remaining proceeds will go back to the town in the form of scholarships and community service projects.

This special event will feature a plated dinner combined with an immersive journey through the history of West Springfield, complete with music, songs, and vivid portrayals of historical figures.

West Springfield was incorporated on February 23rd, 1774. Looking to keep that spark alive, the Celebrate 250 Committee wants to throw the BIGGEST and BEST Birthday Party! This multifaceted event will seek many contributors from West Springfield Officials, volunteer groups, students, and YOU!
Yes! We know it will be cold outside but we are prepared to have a great wintery evening on Clark Field with a bunch of different entertainment, great food and yummy warm treats.

 

Our Birthday Celebration, Sponsored by PeoplesBank, will be a FREE event for residents to attend that will include the following amenities:
-Entertainment by the high school band/chorus
-Entertainment by a local band
-Cupcakes made by C-Tech Students
-A Celebration countdown
-All culminating with a fireworks display.

Clean Up Day 2024.png
Let's join hands to tidy up West Springfield! The 250th Anniversary Committee is organizing a Clean-Up Day this year. The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 21st, starting at 11 am. Interested participants can gather at West Springfield Town Hall, situated at 26 Central Street, West Springfield, MA 1089.
Upon arrival, individuals or groups can register for the event. Once registered, a list of locations identified by the DPW for cleaning will be provided. Additionally, at Town Hall, you can collect trash bags, gloves, and other necessary items for the clean-up. With your supplies in hand, you can head to your designated location.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to keeping West Springfield beautiful, not only for Earth Day but every day. For questions please email myself or celebrate250@tows.org .

  • Local Food Trucks
  • Vendor Fair for shopping
  • Exciting surprises to be revealed!

Get ready to tee off! Make sure to save the date for the 250th Anniversary Golf Tournament. Each year, Mayor Reichelt organizes the Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament. To mark the 250th Anniversary, we will hold a special tournament this year. We are thrilled to collaborate with Springfield Country Club.
We wanted to extend the invitation for you to play at the 250th Anniversary Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament hosted at none other than Springfield Country Club. This partnership with Springfield Country Club will be a fun way to celebrate the 250th Anniversary!

How to Get Your Local Business Involved!

With our 250th Anniversary happening in 2024 we know that we are so fortunate to have many local businesses that have withstood the test of time in West Springfield. Keeping that in mind we would like to highlight you!

How this works…send us an email! In the next couple of month, we will also work on making connections too!

We would love to hear your story and highlight what you have to offer our residents, how long you have been in West Springfield, and if you are going to participate in our 250 Celebration.

Being mindful that not all local businesses can donate monetarily we wanted to offer other ways that the Town of West Springfield can support you at no cost. Giving an example, we are going to be partnering with a local bake shop who will have a specialty cupcake in 2024. This does not go above and beyond their normal course of business while we are able to generate some buzz around your business for our celebration.
