We're getting back into the swim of things!

Join the West Springfield Park & Recreation Department for Public Swim at West Springfield High School's Sady Pool beginning in March 2026!

Public Swim will take place on Sundays from 12:00PM - 4:00PM on the following dates: March 8, 15, 22, 29 & April 12, 19, 26.

This activity is open for West Springfield residents ONLY, and a valid proof of residency is required. There is no pre-registration and no fee to participate. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older. Those interested in swimming laps will have a designated lane to do so.

Pool Rules & Regulations - 2026

Public Swim is open to West Springfield residents at no charge. Valid resident ID required (license with West Springfield address, piece of Town mail with resident name and West Springfield address)
Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older
Persons not participating in the swim program are not allowed on the pool deck or in/around locker rooms
No one with a communicable disease or an open, weeping wound is permitted in the pool
Bathing suits MUST be worn in the pool. Disposable swim diapers or reusable swim diapers are permitted. Regular diapers are NOT PERMITTED. Please dispose of soiled diapers in designated receptacles
Swimmers are required to take a cleansing shower before entering the pool
Shoes are NOT PERMITTED on the pool deck
No food or beverage, besides water, is allowed. Water must be in a plastic bottle. Glass bottles or containers are NOT PERMITTED
No smoking in or around school property
No running in the building, locker rooms, or pool area
No pushing or pulling in the pool or on the pool deck
No spitting
No holding or hanging onto another individual while in the water
No foul language
Diving in designated areas only
No towel snapping or any other activity that may compromise the safety of the participants
No face masks, swim fins, or snorkels. US Coast Guard approved life jackets ONLY
If you hear two long whistles by a lifeguard - exit the pool immediately
