Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Course

The West Springfield Park & Recreation is pleased to offer blended learning certification/re-certification courses. The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. The online portion features award-winning simulation learning – an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting and practice the skills that will prepare you for the instructor-led classroom skill session. Allow approximately 3 hours to complete the online portion. The online course must be completed prior to attending the class-room portion of blended learning. The classroom portion will take approximately 2.5 hours and will be a hands-on experience. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an American Red Cross completion card valid for 2 years.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification/Re-Certification hands-on classroom portion of the course will be held at the UNICO Building, located in Mittineague Park on the date/time listed below. The cost will be $70.00 per participant and will include all supplies.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!!!! Register for 1 course offering listed below to receive the necessary links needed to prepare for the course. The online portion of the course must be completed prior to the in-person training.

Participants are to bring a water bottle, wear sneakers & comfortable clothing to the hands-on course portion. Instructor: Michael Towsley

Online: 

Online registration is the fastest way to register. Register as soon as possible to receive a link for the online portion of the course. The online portion of the course must be completed prior to the in-person training.

  • Log in with your credentials. Contact the Park & Recreation Office (parkandrec@tows.org) in order to verify your username and password or to get help setting up an account.
  • Choose "CPR/FIRST AID", click the green plus sign next to the course of your choosing, add to cart, and check out. 
  • Continue to the payment screen. This will allow you to use a credit/debit card to pay for your programs. 
  • Check your email! The Park & Recreation Office will email you your registration confirmation.
  • A link will be sent from no-reply@redcross.org.

 

 

IN-PERSON:

In-Person: 

Another option for registration is bringing your paperwork and payment (cash/check ONLY) into the Town Hall. Visit the Park & Recreation Office Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00AM - 4:30PM. A staff member will assist you. Register as soon as possible to receive a link for the online portion of the course. The online portion of the course must be completed prior to the in-person training.

  • Complete a 2026 Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Registration Form  

    Make checks payable to "Town of West Springfield" or pay in cash. (CASH/CHECK ONLY!)

  • A Park & Recreation Staff Member will process your transaction and give you a receipt.

  • Check your email! A link will be sent from no-reply@redcross.org.

Using the White Drop Box located on the median outside of the Municipal Office Building is another option for Registration. Please note: this box is only checked once per day. Register as soon as possible to receive a link for the online portion of the course. The online portion of the course must be completed prior to the in-person training.

  • Complete a 2026 Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Registration Form
  • Make checks payable to "Town of West Springfield"
  • Write "Park and Recreation Department" on the front of a blank envelope
  • Place in the White Drop Box located outside of the Municipal Office Building at 26 Central St.
  • Check your email! The Park & Recreation Office will email you your registration confirmation.
  • A link will be sent from no-reply@redcross.org.
