Commission on Disabilities

Mission Statement: The Commission on Disabilities is committed to fostering a welcoming, safe, accessible and inclusive community for all residents, regardless of ability. By working collaboratively with town officials, community members, and local organizations, we strive to remove barriers, enhance quality of life, and support the full participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of community life in West Springfield.

Goals of the Commission:

  1. To ensure full access and participation to the Town of West Springfield for people with disabilities.
  2. To inform, advise and assist the Town officials regarding the needs of individuals with disabilities.
  3. To continuously monitor and focus on enhancing accessibility, inclusion and support for residents with disabilities.

The West Springfield Commission on Disabilities meets the Fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm in Merrick Room on the 1st floor of Town Hall.

The public is welcome to attend.
