West Springfield, MA: The 15th Annual West Springfield Clean Up Day will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to come together to give the Town a spring cleaning by removing litter and debris from public areas.
Registration begins at 9:30 AM at the Morgan Road Pavilion, located at 459 Morgan Road, where participants will receive supplies and site assignments. Volunteers are welcome to choose a site or be assigned one at check-in. Participation is flexible — whether for the full three hours or just long enough to complete your chosen site.
Town residency is not required — everyone is invited to make a difference. Clean-up efforts will culminate in leaving all collected waste at designated centralized locations for pickup by the Department of Public Works (DPW) on the next business day.
Volunteers will be provided with trash bags and safety vests. There will also be a limited supply of work gloves and litter grabbers available. To keep everyone fueled, free refreshments will be offered throughout the event. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear for their site’s conditions.
This annual event is hosted by the West Springfield Environmental Committee, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the Town’s natural resources and conservation lands. The event is held in partnership with the West Springfield DPW and the West Springfield Parks & Recreation Department, who provide support, gear drop-off coordination, and the event venue.
Registration is encouraged, but not required. Please visit tinyurl.com/wscleanupday to register. Let’s work together to keep West Springfield clean and beautiful — one bag of litter at a time!
