Mayor Reichelt Announces Recipients of the Big E Trust Grant for 2025

West Springfield, MA: Mayor William Reichelt's office today proudly announced the 34 recipients of the Fiscal Year 2025 Big E Trust Grant. This vital financial initiative, utilizing funds from the Eastern States Exposition, is designed to bolster local businesses and organizations by supporting projects that enhance community development and economic growth, with a particular focus on initiatives that positively impact town programming and support community groups. The Committee consists of Mayor Reichelt, Gene Cassidy President/CEO of the Eastern State Exposition, and local Attorney and active community member Mary Powers.

"The Big E Trust Grant is a testament to the powerful partnership between the Town of West Springfield and the Eastern States Exposition," said Mayor William Reichelt. "These grants allow us to invest directly into the heart of our community, supporting incredible programs and organizations that enrich the lives of our residents, from youth development to cultural preservation and critical social services. I am immensely proud of the diverse and impactful projects that will come to life through this funding."

The Big E Trust Committee carefully reviewed numerous applications, selecting projects that best align with the grant's mission to foster mutual benefits and strengthen the fabric of West Springfield.

  • Lions Club Veteran Park of Heroes

  • West Springfield High School Track & Field, Cross Country, and Indoor Track

  • West Springfield Boy's Soccer

  • West Springfield Boys Youth Lacrosse Program

  • West Springfield High School Irish Club

  • Josiah Day House

  • West Springfield High School Hockey Booster Club

  • Tatham Memorial Capital Campaign Project

  • Big Brothers and Big Sisters

  • West Springfield Boys & Girls Varsity Tennis Team

  • Community Family Movie Night

  • West Springfield Church of Christ Community Programs

These grants will empower these organizations to launch new initiatives, enhance existing programs, and continue their invaluable work that contributes to a vibrant and thriving West Springfield.

The Big E Trust Grant is a financial initiative offered by the Town of West Springfield, utilizing funds from the Eastern States Exposition.
