Please take note of an upcoming road milling project that will impact Morgan Road. The Town will begin work on Monday, July 21st, for approximately two (2) days, weather permitting.
We strongly encourage drivers to use alternate routes whenever possible or travel with extra caution and plan for delays throughout this period.
Morgan Road Milling Project Details:
Work Schedule & Locations:
Day 1 (Monday, July 21st): Milling will start at 7:00 AM at Morgan Road & Pease Avenue and is expected to reach the Piper Road intersection.
Day 2 (Tuesday, July 22nd): Milling will start at 3:00 AM from the RT.5 intersection to the Piper Road & Morgan Road intersection.
Traffic Restrictions (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Day 1, and 3:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Day 2):
Morgan Road will be closed to through traffic.
Access for local residents and emergency services will be maintained, but expect delays.
Suggested Detours:
Day 1 Detours: Use Amostown Road, Birnie Avenue, Piper Road, and Circle Drive.
Day 2 Detours: Use Cayenne Street, Piper Cross Road, Myron Street, Bradford Drive, and Craig Drive.
Important Reminders:
Morgan Road will remain under construction for at least the next two weeks.
Police details will be on site daily to assist with traffic flow and ensure safe travel through and around the work zone.
This schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
