Next date: Thursday, December 04, 2025 | 06:30 PM to 07:30 PM
The 37th Annual Caroling Sing-A-Long and Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 6:30PM right outside of the West Springfield Municipal Office Building (Town Hall - 26 Central St.).
The introduction of City Officials will begin at 6:30PM, hosted by the West Springfield Park & Recreation Department. Continuing the tradition, holiday songs will be sung by students from Coburn Elementary School, Mittineague Elementary School, Tatham Elementary School, Memorial Elementary School and Fausey Elementary School. At the end of the ceremony, the trees will glow in lights following the traditional “throwing-of-the-switch” by the West Springfield School Department.
The Town of West Springfield sponsors the display of holiday lights and decorations on the Elm & Park Street Commons and various other Town Buildings. Also continuing the tradition of beautifully decorating throughout the Town is the West Springfield Central Maintenance Department with assistance from Grand Outdoor Lighting and Down to Earth Construction.
In addition to the Caroling Sing-A-Long and Tree Lighting event, the West Springfield Police Department will host a Stuff-A-Cruiser event outside of the Town Hall at the same time. Bring an unwrapped toy to drop off at the cruiser, and all donations will be brought to the Operation Santa Program for distribution to West Springfield families in need this holiday season.
