Field Hockey Clinic

Field Hockey 101 - Fundamentals: Learn the basic skills needed to play the game. No experience required! This clinic offering is a fantastic opportunity to give a new sport a try. For children ages 9-13 as of September 1, 2024, held on August 5, 6, 7, 8 (inclement weather make-up date: 8/9) from 9:00AM - 11:00AM, held at the West Springfield High School Clark Field. The basic objective of this clinic will be to expose all players, regardless of their experience and ability level, to techniques and tactics to improve fundamental skills of stick work dribble. Dodges, tackles, offense/defense teamwork and small game situations. All equipment supplied! Register for this amazing opportunity to be instructed by W.S. High School Varsity Field Hockey Coach Diane Lussier. Parents will need to provide their own transportation, snacks, and water bottle for their child.

Online

Online registration is the fastest way to register. Registration for West Springfield Residents begins at 8:00AM on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Non-Residents can register beginning at 8:00AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Registrations are put through on a first come, first served basis.

  • Click here to reach our Online Registration Site
  • Log in with your credentials. Contact the Park & Recreation Office (parkandrec@tows.org) for assistance with your username and password or to get help setting up an account.
  • Choose "Field Hockey Clinic", pick the activity you are interested in, add to cart, and check out. 
  • Continue to the payment screen. This will allow you to use a credit/debit card to pay for your programs. 
  • Complete a Form A(PDF, 580KB) and email it back to us at parkandrec@tows.org with a copy of your child's most recent immunization records.
  • Check your email! Approximately 1 week prior to the start of the program, a newsletter will be emailed to you with detailed information regarding the camp.

 

IN-PERSON:

Another option for registration is bringing your paperwork and payment (cash/check ONLY) into the Town Hall. Visit the Park & Recreation Office Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00AM - 4:30PM or during our special office hours on Saturday, March 23, from 8:00AM - 11:00AM. A staff member will assist you. Registration for West Springfield Residents begins at 8:00AM on Saturday, March 23, 2024Non-Residents can register beginning at 8:00AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Registrations are put through on a first come, first served basis.

  • Complete a Form A(PDF, 580KB) and bring it to us with a copy of your child's most recent immunization records.

  • Make checks payable to "Town of West Springfield" or pay in cash. (CASH/CHECK ONLY!)

  • Check your email! Approximately 1 week prior to the start of the program, a newsletter will be emailed to you with detailed information regarding the camp.

Using the White Drop Box located on the median outside of the Municipal Office Building is another option for Registration. Registration for West Springfield Residents begins at 8:00AM on Saturday, March 23, 2024Non-Residents can register beginning at 8:00AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Registrations are put through on a first come, first served basis.

  • Complete a Form A(PDF, 580KB) and bring it to us with a copy of your child's most recent immunization records.
  • Make checks payable to "Town of West Springfield" (CHECKS ONLY in Drop Box!)
  • Write "Park and Recreation Department" on the front of a blank envelope
  • Place in the White Drop Box located outside of the Municipal Office Building at 26 Central St.
  • Check your email! Approximately 1 week prior to the start of the program, a newsletter will be emailed to you with detailed information regarding the camp.
