The West Springfield High School Band and Choir will perform their annual Pops Concert on Friday, May 8th at 7:00 pm in the West Springfield High School gymnasium. This year, the high school band and choir will celebrate the 75 th anniversary of the Pops Concert in West Side. Always a community favorite, this year’s concert promises to deliver an evening of extraordinary music, celebrating a look back at an enduring music program led by many legendary directors.
Band Director, Nathan Holesovsky, and Choir Director, Amy Taylor, will conduct the two-and-a-half-hour program featuring familiar and exciting musical numbers presented by the West Springfield High School Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band and Percussion Ensemble as well as the West Side Choir, West Side Singers and the cast of Frozen Jr. Guests will be treated to several surprises commemorating the 75 th anniversary and the history of band and choir in West Side.
Doors open at 6:00 pm. General admission tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for seniors and children under 18. A limited number of tables will be available for purchase. For table reservations, contact the West Springfield Music Parents Association (WSMPA) at westsidemusic413@gmail.com.
The WSMPA will be selling light refreshments, flowers for performers, music merchandise and tickets for a spectacular array of raffle prizes. Funds raised from the event support music programs in West Springfield Public Schools. Pops 2026 is financed in part by the Mass Cultural Council Creative Experiences Grant.
