In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 56, the Town of West Springfield Board of Assessors has completed a comprehensive revaluation of all real and personal property across the community. Preliminary certification for Fiscal Year 2027 is currently pending review by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
The revaluation analyzed regional market data and arm’s-length real estate transactions occurring between January 2024 and December 2025 to determine full and fair cash market values as of January 1, 2026.
Overall Valuation Impact: Compared to Fiscal Year 2026, total real estate and personal property valuations town-wide have increased by an average of approximately 5%.
Tax Impact Note: An increase in property valuation does not translate directly to an equal increase in your final tax bill. The specific percentage change on individual bills will vary and cannot be determined until the municipal tax rate is formally set.
Preliminary values will be open for public inspection for five business days, starting Friday, November 6, 2026, through Friday, November 13, 2026.
