Spring has arrived in West Springfield—and with it comes the perfect opportunity to clean up, clear out, and give back to our community.
Spring Cleaning, Recycling & Shredding – All in One Day
Join us on Saturday, April 11 at the Town Hall Parking Lot for a convenient, two-in-one community service event hosted by West Springfield Helping Hands.
FREE Document Shredding
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Safely dispose of sensitive documents like old tax records and bank statements.
- Paper only (no media, binders, or metal—paperclips are OK)
- Limit: 2 bags or boxes per person
- Donations (monetary or non-perishable food) are appreciated
Electronics Recycling
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Keep harmful electronics out of landfills. A wide range of items will be accepted, with pricing varying by item. Many small electronics are free to recycle.
Cash preferred; Venmo and checks (over $30) accepted

Middle School Cafeteria
Help make West Springfield shine by volunteering at our annual town-wide clean-up.
Schedule:
- 9:30 AM – Check-in, pastries and gear pickup
- 10:00 AM – Head to cleanup sites
- Approximately 12:30 PM – Return for lunch and wrap-up
Whether you have an hour or the whole morning, your help makes a difference. All are welcome.

Support local families through the Hartsprings Donation Drive by dropping off needed items each month.
Spring is all about fresh starts—and there is no better way to kick off the season than by coming together as a community. Whether you are shredding old documents, recycling electronics, volunteering your time, or donating to those in need, every effort counts.
