West Springfield, MA — The Town of West Springfield is pleased to announce that applications for the Big E Trust Grant will open on March 15, 2026. This annual grant program, funded through the Eastern States Exposition, supports projects that strengthen community development, promote economic growth, and enhance local programming and initiatives in West Springfield.
“The Big E Trust Grant is a wonderful way to reinvest in our community,” said Mayor Reichelt. “By supporting local organizations and creative projects, these funds help improve quality of life and foster economic vitality throughout West Springfield.”
Application opens: March 15, 2026
Application closes: May 15, 2026
Committee review and decisions: By end of June
Grant fiscal year: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Applicants can access and submit their applications through the West Springfield OpenGov portal tinyurl.com/BigEGrant2026 .
New users should create an account; returning users can log in using existing credentials.
Under the Mayor’s Office section, select “The Big E Grant.”
Review all eligibility guidelines, complete the application form, and attach required documentation.
A current W9 form must be submitted each year before funds are released.
Grants may be awarded in full, in part, or denied based on the committee’s review process. Applicants can track their submission status through the OpenGov portal.
