WEST SPRINGFIELD, Ma. — The West Springfield High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee is officially accepting nominations for its second induction class from September 1 through September 30, 2026.
The Terrier Hall of Fame honors the standout student-athletes, coaches, teams, and community champions whose dedication, sportsmanship, and grit have shaped the legacy of West Springfield High School. Previously nominated individuals and teams not selected in prior years remain eligible for consideration.
Nomination Categories & Eligibility Criteria
Athlete: Student-athletes become eligible five years after their graduation from WSHS.
Team: Athletic teams are eligible five years following the completion of their designated season.
Coach: Coaches are eligible three years after retiring from the specific sport for which they are nominated.
Special Contributor: Open to individuals or organizations that have significantly developed or fostered West Springfield athletics. This category also includes alumni who have achieved state/national hall of fame induction, set world records, competed in the Olympic or World Games, or won national championships at the professional or amateur level.

Nomination forms will be available starting September 1, 2026, on the West Springfield Public Schools website under the Family and Community tab. All submissions must be received by September 30, 2026.
