The West Springfield Park & Recreation Department is pleased to host the Annual 4th of July Celebration! Beginning at 11:30AM, fun activities for all ages will begin on the West Springfield Town Common. Families can take part in different arts and crafts, competitive and cooperative games, and have the chance to see the updated fountain project first hand!

Shortly after the festivities begin, the West Springfield Lions Club will be selling concessions for all who wish to purchase and stay on the Common for a performance from Jimmy Mazz.

Jimmy Mazz began singing at the age of 14 in a Junior High School band with a group of friends that called themselves Vitus Pike. Growing up in a small town in Western Massachusetts left Jimmy with big dreams. His early desire to be a musician and performer was that of a rockstar, writing and singing songs. Riding the “new wave music” of British Rock and the punk music scene in the early 80’s, Jimmy joined the band Picture This. A few years later, he formed Real World and toured with his original songs, winning many battle of the bands competitions and recording almost 60 songs. Joining the wedding band Breezin’ in 1993 changed his direction dramatically. The wedding band experience became invaluable, and those years molded Jimmy into the entertainer he is today.
